Tuesday 2nd August 2022

As water levels have dropped in recent weeks on our lakes, due to the continued dry weather, particularly affecting water levels on the edges near the Eastern car park (the deepest end, near the damn still has 11-12 feet, and the lakes generally, are still fine) there is concern for the safety of our large carp when pulled towards the pegs in the lower water areas on the Eastern edges of the lake.

To this end, we have decided to close the swims on the Eastern (car park side) bank except for the double swim next to the car park. There remain plenty of swims available on the Western side. If we decide, for the same reason, to close any on the Western side, we will put up notices on the relevant swim.

We hope you understand our decision ... our concern is, as always, the health and well being of our fish. We never thought we'd say this in August... but let's hope for some rain soon!
